The 2006 REIV Victorian Senior Auctioneers Competition was won by Nelson
Alexander Auctioneer, Milo Rasinac.
Mr Rasinac will be joined by runner up, Wodonga agent Josh Phegan in New Zealand on September 18 & 19 this year for the Australasian Senior Auctioneers Championship. In congratulating the winner REIV President, Geoff Dobson commented on the impressive skills of all participants and in particular congratulated the younger finalists in the competition. "It’s great seeing young and enthusiastic agents. They show other young people that real estate can be a rewarding and enjoyable profession." "This year the competition showed that auctioneers need to have a comprehensive understanding of the laws and regulations that relate to property transactions." "Not only did Mr Rasinac demonstrate this but he also showed a flair for presentation, I am sure that this makes the auctions he conducts in Melbourne’s north popular and interesting to attend," Mr Dobson concluded. In this year’s competition, Mr Rasinac had to compete against 17 very experienced auctioneers to make it through to the final. The final proved to be tough competition for him, up against seasoned finalists, Adrian Butera, Simon Derham and newcomer Josh Phegan. The competition puts each of the contestants to the test with fast and broken bids coming from 4 different bidders in front of a crowd of over 100 people. The Institute would also like to thank Deposit Power for their support in this year's Victorian Senior Auctioneers Competition. Share this Article:
